Artist Marketplace FAQs

What is The Marketplace?

The Marketplace is a collection (an Anthology, you might say) of carefully curated images from a wide range of artists that are available for the public to buy.

Tim sets a base price for the production of each puzzle and the artist sets the retail price, receiving the difference as a royalty payment.

How do royalties and pricing work?

  1. Once your image is accepted for production, Tim will advise you of the base prices and invite you to submit preferred retail pricing.
  2. When a jigsaw sells, the difference between Base and Retail price will be credited to your Anthology Artist Portal account.
  3. Royalties are paid automatically once per month.
  4. Pricing changes can be requested at any time.

What are the requirements?

  • Artist must have the legal rights to publish the image.
  • No AI generated images please.
  • Image must be 1:1 (square) or ~4:3 (rectangle) aspect ratio.
  • Artist must be able to receive payments via PayPal.
  • Artist must have a Google account to submit images (this is to ensure the images are securely stored)
  • Tim will decide which images to publish and his decision is final.

How can I improve my chances of getting accepted?

Tim curates the Marketplace to represent a wide variety of artists and themes with the aim of ensuring there is a puzzle for everyone. Please do not be offended if your image isn't chosen.

Things that will help:

  • Bold & bright images with large colour variation.
  • Avoiding images with large areas of one colour such as plain backgrounds.
  • Using the correct file naming structure when uploading (shown on next page).

What is the licencing situation?

By submitting an image you agree to it being used by Anthology Puzzles for the purposes of making and selling jigsaw puzzles and associated marketing in return for receiving royalty payments.

You retain full rights to your artwork.

You can terminate the agreement at any time by providing 30 days notice to tim@anthologypuzzles.com, after which no new puzzles with your image will be made, but existing stock may continue to be sold until depleted.
